True Fashionistas of the Shoppes at Vanderbilt has quite the selection of designer clothing and other consigning products. It’s a very clean and organized store, as you are not allowed to bring in any food or drink. They also have some furniture for the purchase. It’s quite a unique store. Overall, I recommend this store for anyone in the mood for designer clothing?

I’ve been buying clothes on this shop for many years even when they were a small boutique around the corner from the new store.
Two weeks ago a went to visit the store, they had a great offer of 20%off so I checked many beautiful things, tried them all and this took me more than an hour…my huge surprised came when I get to the cashier to pay and they took out from my cart products that at the same time they were selling online. They told me they couldn’t sell it to me because they were already sold.
I was really disappointed, after almost 2 hours of research they prioritized online sales instead of the people that were personally at the store.
I’ve never experienced this situation before, in any shop. I don’t think they should put online the same clothes that is exposed in the shop.
They really need to change this way of working.

My daughter bought a pair of shoes here and paid $320 for them. Within less than 20 minutes of arriving at home and putting them on the shoes started to fall apart. I had her immediately take them back to the store only to be told they would only give her a store credit. They wouldn’t even give her a refund to cover the repair of the shoes. If you buy something here, I recommend you try it on in store and walk around with it a while to ensure it is not going to fall apart immediately once you leave.

The store is a great place to shop, very organized and clean with several great deals. They do not have a public restroom, so if you bring your 87 yr old mother with you to shop and she needs a restroom quickly, you better be prepared to DRIVE over to the Starbucks and feel embarrassed to use a restroom of a store that you didn't purchase anything from. That is totally unacceptable. Also, if you plan to sell outright or consign, they do not give you any type of paperwork listing your items although they have their own print out which they won't share with you except to tell you your total. At Twice as Nice Consignment, you receive an e-mail with a list of your items along with the original price, so you have a nice record of your dropped off items. However, at True Fashionistas, they do not give you that info and act like it's a bother to them if you ask about the details of what you sold to them. If you do not return to the store 48 hrs after you receive a text that your items are ready for pick up that they did not accept for buy out, then ALL items you dropped off will be donated. So be prepared to be able to get there in the 48 hr deadline if you happen to have a job. They sold 4 of my low end items in the buy out program and I received a $10 store credit since it was lower than the cash buy out amount. You receive 30% of the sale which means each of my 4 items sold for an average of 8.33 each. I asked on a return trip exactly what was sold and for how much and the nice clerk totally evaded my question and continually told me I had a $10 credit. The first clerk when I was given the $10 credit totally evaded me too and wouldn't let me look at the receipts she stapled all together. Anyway, from the prices in the store, I didn't see how anything was sold at that low of a price to come up with the 8.33 per item. In conclusion, I would shop there but not sell or consign since they don't give you any paperwork and you have no way of balancing the money you receive.
