I had a great experience shopping here. I was greeted at the door and the lady was very helpful and welcoming. I found exactly what I was looking for and something extra. The best part is I didn't even know they had an 1/2 off sale. Thank you for your hospitality.

The prices at this Salvation Army are outrageous. Houseware easy over $50. Even for New York thrifts you’d think it was a consignment store

The salvation Army once upon a time was a place to shop for those who are in need. NOW used items are WAY WAY overpriced. Who would pay $10 for used glassware? The Clothes/shoes/pocketbook/wallet prices are ridiculously high for used NOT A CONSIGNMENT store. This organization Is no longer for the community.
**Corporate can save BS talk about the prices reflect to cost of paying the workers.

I haven’t been to a Salvation Army store in a while, so perhaps I am out of touch, but when I visited last week prices were extremely high.

There was a used couch with an “as is” sticker on it for $599.00

There were used mirrors, matching, for $199.00 EACH (these were perhaps 18”x24”, not huge floor pieces)

These prices were representative as well of the lower level, which had furniture and goods piled haphazardly. Furniture ranged from $199-$599.

I’m aware the country has been facing inflation, but the SA is an organization that relies almost exclusively on donations, and the SA stores only sell donated items. So the prices seemed like a slap in the face.

What happened to being a resource for the needy- or people who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances? The pricing here was more indicative of a hipster vintage store in Williamsburg, but without any of the quality.

The staff however was very nice.

Great used furniture pieces, they have 3 floors, in the basement is the furniture, some god finds

Downstairs feels like a fire hazard. There is barely any egress, it was difficult to get in and out of. There is too much kept down there

The Atlantic Avenue Salvation Army is of dependable stock, offering a variety of discounted clothing and other items to raise money for the non-profit. The donation process is quick and easy, and the supply of items always full if not always the most varied. It's not necessarily the prettiest store, but the employees are nice and if you're a rummager you may find a treasure.

Great shopping experience. Lots of mirrors so you can quickly try on the things. Great prices (not sure where to look for deals of the day...but I got a nice red hoodie for half off which made it $4.50 to my surprise!! Would've bought it full price, loved the piece, good quality). Great designer bags behind the counter (around 20 bucks) and tons of vintage jewelry too. The workers were polite and pleasant the whole time too.
