I rarely go from a 1-star to a 5-star review, but when the owner of a business goes above and beyond to make sure their customer is satisfied, it deserves recognition.

After my initial experience, I wanted to update this review to highlight Rick, the owner of Plato’s Closet. Rick personally reached out and took the time to resolve the issue. He was incredibly helpful, professional, and handled the situation with a great deal of integrity.

His efforts made all the difference and showed that he genuinely values his customers and their experiences. While my first visit was disappointing, Rick’s dedication to making things right completely turned things around. Thank you, Rick, for your exceptional service and commitment to customer satisfaction!

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Plato’s Closet. I brought in approximately $500 worth of clothes, along with a $70 storage bin, only to find out that my items were donated without my consent. The lack of accountability was shocking – there was no text confirmation when my items were supposedly processed, and they had no record of my belongings.

When I tried to address the issue, the manager was rude and dismissive, and every interaction I had with the staff made me feel uncomfortable and unvalued as a customer. Initially, I was going to hold back on writing this review, but after seeing other reviews and how the store replies in a very unprofessional manner, refusing to take accountability, I felt compelled to share my experience.

It’s clear they cannot own their mistakes and have no regard for basic customer service. I don’t understand how this location operates given the way they treat customers. I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this store with your belongings.

I purchased a bag on Saturday, July 20th when I came home. I was about to take the tag off underneath where the bag connects to the strap. It was about to come off completely. I went the next day. Tried to return it or get my money back the manager/owner of the store came out and told me that they came out with new policies that they will not longer return, exchange, or refund your money for bags or shoes. This information is not posted anywhere on their receipt or anywhere in the store. I would appreciate it if they were more clear and more professional about their policies and at least put it someplace where customers can be aware that they risk buying something that is falling apart only to notice it by the time they get home and basically be robbed of their money.

Store was nice, clean, and had nice stuff, however it was very hard to shop because the racks are so tight full of clothes you can barely look through and shop.

I'm guessing he is a manager told me I couldn't have my service dog in the store. It is over 100 degrees outside so I only had her collar on her and he was really rude and disrespectful when I said she was a service dog. He then proceed to ask me what kind of service dog she is. He glared at me when I left the store. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK

Definitely not worth the time.... the employees aren't friendly and look like they are about 15 years old.. went in to sell and buy some clothes.. was told they could only take 7 items cause "they are being very picky." And that the other clothes I had "are out of style" when I saw shirts and pants in there that haven't been seen or worn for the last 10 years... the stuff I have is not out of style and absolutely nothing wrong with them... pics below of what I went to sell.. so tell me what's wrong or out of style in these?!?! Would definitely love to have a actual adult to talk to...

Their buyer definitely picks the styles SHE likes instead of having things for all kinds of preferences. For the second time there were zero pairs of chucks on the shelves. And even though they said they needed guys clothes, last time I was here I watched her deny over half a dudes clothes he brought in that looked like they were in good shape and on brand. Other locations are WAY better.

I'm a reseller and the morning girls are very nice. I've no issues try to bring in items of worth nice only thing could say some of items good names bands. Guess some just don't sell as well. Store is awesome ?
