I try to shop almost exclusively second hand, and have been shopping at Plato's closet for years and like it a lot. I have found some really good items at this location.

That being said, this location is such a mess. Racks are packed so tightly that it's near impossible to browse through some of them. Isles are only one person wide, so you have to move over constantly to let people pass. I think they'd have so much more success if shopping were not so tedious. I can't be the only one who feels this way.

If moving somewhere bigger is not an option, I urge the owner to at least rotate out seasonally like some other places do. I think that would make such an impact.

If I could give them 0 stars I would don’t waste your time selling here. Stood at the counter for a hot minute while the girl looked in my direction a few times. Waited there for a good 1 and 30 then when they did call me they told me they couldn’t take anything because it was to “worn” or had stains or had holes which was from the designer and then also stated that I had cigarette burn marks and there aren’t any because I launder all my clothes and I don’t give away clothes that aren’t presentable they’re store isn’t clean all the clothes that I was selling was what was on their racks or similar not to mention their store is a hot mess definitely needs help! My advice don’t go there ever! What a joke that place is!

Staff was very friendly and helpful; however, I was very disappointed that I took several items to sell and was kept waiting for quite a while, which I understand seeing as they were busy. What disappointed me was the fact that they only bought 1 item pretty much telling me in a polite way that the clothing was outdated The majority of the clothing was from my kids. This place came highly recommended to me however I will never come here again. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was the fact that the staff was really nice and polite.

Forget this place and the rude people who work there. The website and the employees will say they buy items until 7pm everyday. I called before I left the house as advised. Then when I arrived, after driving 45 minutes, I’m told they’re at their limit and are no longer buying for the day. It’s happened twice now and they won’t get a 3rd chance to screw me over. They’ve wasted 4 hours of my time and gas. Thanks for nothing!

I waited for an hour, only to be told they could only take six of my clothing items for $30. The employees were rude and unhelpful, and the store itself was not very clean. Despite going in with an open mind due to recommendations from friends, I was extremely disappointed by the experience. The time spent there was not worth it. The whole process was frustrating, and the poor customer service made it even worse. Given the choice, I'd much rather go to Buffalo Exchange or Pavement to sell my clothes. They offer a much better experience, both in terms of customer service and the overall condition of the store. This place just didn’t meet my expectations and certainly wasn’t worth the time or effort.

This Plato’s closet location has a great selection and always is getting new things in! The employees are very kind and efficient with the selling back process and overall this store is great!

Staff greeted immediately, however, did not explain the process. The place was hot and not enough ventilation. The staff also did not explain why some of the items brought were not accepted. Plato's Closet doesn't give a good return on new items with tags and name brand items that are in great condition. I would NEVER sell to this place again, nor will I sell to a Plato's closet, due to its unfair buying process.

Employees at least to me have been nice (that’s the only star this place gets) but what comes off as rude to most people here in the reviews I think is essentially just the store/corporate policy. Basically things that employees have to enforce or get fired over if they don’t. The biggest issue I have is I have to wait here the entire time while they look over my clothes so there are other people in front of me. The wait time is a nightmare because there are literally zero people doing the buying side of things full time. So employees who do other stuff are essentially just having to do the buying side when they have a spare second. Even if they get to your clothing they may end up buying like 4 things and you have to take the rest and having waited an hour plus, you can understand peoples frustrations.

The no drop offs rule is ridiculous. Most other places do the drop off model. It could be how the store is setup there is nowhere to drop anything off they have too much clothes. It’s like a barely organized stuffy hoarders house only one person can walk down an aisle at one time and there is nowhere for sellers to sit so we are forced to roam around looking at walls of clothing that we are thankful aren’t in our house (seriously). This just happened… the lady in front of me literally ended up waiting for like an hour and they didn’t buy anything from her. That being said second street across the street is way worse and will give you basically nothing for your stuff. As per usual clothing is a depreciating asset hence why I never buy expensive stuff in the first place and if I do I will wear it until it falls apart and I have to throw it out lol.

If possible you are better off selling tag on Facebook marketplace in a bundle/bulk or Mercari but there is still shipping to worry about. I sell stuff everything from cameras to electronics vintage items and everything in between but honestly selling clothes is my least favorite thing to do as it’s a nightmare to take photos of them measure items and clothes are just so personal. Anyone can buy a camera but a man isn’t going to be buying a women’s jacket and vise versa. Everyone knows that item is being returned only to buy something similar but different or something lol.

I brought in a large trash bag of clothes today and they only take 1 bag. You have to come in at a different time or day which I’m pretty sure as a buyer and seller I would be breaking that rule if I saw designer clothes in a big lot but It’s a store rule (?). They took 2 items and they gave me $4.80 which well… which sucks lol. I did get about 20,000 steps walking around in here and if they don’t like it change the rule about having to wait in your store instead of just dropping off stuff. Overall wait time was about an hour today but for $4.80 it’s obviously not worth it. I don’t think I’ll be back and I’ll probably just stick to selling bulk or doing a garage sale.
