This location never looks to buy quality items. Then offer Penny’s on the dollar on whatever they do chose to buy. Brought in 8 or so men’s suits. Some never worn with the tag on them & they would not take them. They instead took two used New Era fitted caps (valued at 40-$50 a pc) & a bass pro shop hat. They offered $6 for these items smh. Just go to the location in Arlington, they bought all of the suits from me.

Before you go and sell your clothes to this place please read this review right here this location in Cedar Hill is not a good place to take your clothes every time I go to this Plato's Closet in Cedar Hill they always tell me they stop making buys at 5:00 now this has happened frequently now I went to this location January the 11th 2025 that was a Saturday and this was maybe the 5th or 6th time they told me they stopped taking at 5:00 pm but they supposed to stop around 6 or 7:00 pm and also they do not give you good money for your merchandise they only give you 30 to 40% and they do not pick out a lot of good things they only give you a small amount of money so this location is not a good one

Absolutely poor experience. Decluttered winter clothes and went in with already low expectations due to tiktok videos I have encountered and decided to check it out for myself. I took pictures prior to my visit to compare what I was selling vs items they purchase and resell. With that being said I was already familiar with items I was dropping off. Signed up to receive a text and chose to stay and wait while I browsed the store. I ended up receiving a call and told my items were ready for pick up and that unfortunately nothing I took in was what they were looking to buy. I went up to the counter to collect my items and was asked for my name and tried handing in my ticket when I noticed two of my skirts on their counter as the associate said she didn’t need my ticket and I was confused as I said well those are from my bag. At this point I was already convinced they were trying to keep some of my items without paying me for it. There was no point in reacting so I just grabbed my bag and left. Leaving with an already bad impression of this place about a few minutes later I received another call from the same associate stating there was a vest with designs left behind they must have “forgotten” to put back in my bag and I said I would be there in two minutes. Again, I just went in and grabbed it and left without making it something big. Maybe it was an honest mistake on their behalf but then again I have my opinion at this point I don’t feel like it was a coincidence.

First picture is what was “forgotten” to be put back in my bag after telling me my items weren’t what they were looking for. Next few pictures items I took in versus what they actually buy and resell ?

You can definitely purchase a brand new Columbia jacket/sweater for $30 if not less at the outlet!

I am so very upset at this location. I have reached out numerous times! Everytine the manager just happens to not be there. I was there and purchased about 120$ of stuff. My dress I was wearing showed to much cleavage so I put on what i purchased. I handed the girl my 70$ dress and cardigan 25$ and said can you put this in the bag along with other items I purchased. I get home that night grab my bag. No dress no cardigan. The girl threw my dress and cardigan away. Why would I ever ask for that? I really wish corporate offi e or a manager would try to make this right in someway. Until then I will not return and I will tell everyone I know about my experience. I work hard for my money. Not to mention I literally just bought that dress a month prior for my graduation. And the cardigan that same day from. Walmart. Ughhh

Great selection of gently worn clothes, some still with tags on them. Name brands at barging prices. Yes the are picky when buying clothes but I love it when I am buying. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Store is always clean. They have changing rooms as well.

Agreeable , with the latest reviews. Customer service needs a lot work , also women’s clothing is unorganized. Size 0-1 has every size but 0-1 I imagine the rest of the aisles look the same. Also, checkout needs more friendlier cashiers. It was my first and last visit at this Plato’s !

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a Plato’s closet. Brought my son to shop and they turned the lights out at 5:30p. Closing time is 6pm…I asked why the lights were off and was told that they do that to let customers know they are closing. The store isn’t that big…So I’m confused as to why this is the method used to notify your customers that the store is closing soon. Shopping in the dark is not an ideal experience. Whoever the franchise owner is should address this with management ASAP! Is extremely unwelcoming!

First time ever at a Plato’s closet was really excited I came in with my one year old daughter yesterday to shop and look around. Was looked at by the workers but they didn’t even greet me, which thought was really rude I asked for a dressing room to try something on and they didn’t answer just stared at once again 🙁 and when I checked out here the worker was rushing me. So sad how this kind of behavior is acceptable and I think there needs to be better management!!
