Used to love this shop, I always went in when I had a hospital appointment. Staff are so friendly, and the way they have it laid out is great, but alas, like everything else, their prices have gone through the roof. I know everywhere has , but I can never shake the feeling in charity shops that you got the stuff for nothing, so anything you make is 100% profit. There were some items in there that were priced more than if you were buying new. I will still go back when I am in that neck of the woods

A few things really:
1- the store is a health and safety hazard. Can barely move due to the amount of clutter in the store.
2- the man who runs the store is kicking community out for no reason.
3- said man who owns the place, gave a staff member in trouble for talking to me. I was asking questions and they got told off due to “talk to me for too long”…
4- the staff were lovely, but the manager/owner really makes the shop a horrid place to visit.

This place is amazing! They have practically everything
you need and lot's of what you don't need but want. I love taking a walk around here whenever I can. There are so many treasures. The staff are really friendly and always ready to help. There used to be free coffee mornings, but I'm not sure if that is still happening. They also have a loyalty card, and the best thing about the whole experience is that it's for your local community projects. Go and have a look around when you have time, you'll be sure to find your own wee treasure.

I do love going into this shop for a wander, but I have to agree with others that a lot of stuff is very overpriced. But my main bug bear and the reason I also hate going in is the staff member (sorry might be manager or owner) who calls all females 'mate'. I'm a woman, you call your mate 'mate' ?

I really love going for a rummage in this second hand shop. It does take donations but I think it also sources second hand items too that it then resells (though I may be wrong on this). It has clothes & jewellery and a massive amount of DVDs but I’ve never bought any of these. I have bought an antique bookshelf, crockery, cookware, soft furnishings & many many books. When I go in with my nieces they always play some music on the community piano. The staff are very friendly but I agree with a previous reviewer that it feels a bit false when everyone’s shouting hello to you as soon as you walk in the shop.

I must admit I have bought a thing or two from here, there can be some hidden gems amongst the mostly junk, but the prices are absurdly high for a charity shop that takes in free donations. The high prices have put me off buying much more. Even the way the albeit nice volunteers are made to say hi to everyone on entrance highlights the odd facade of this capitalist retail endeavour masquerading as a charity shop.
