Eye-caching Artwork & Merchandise displayed as you walk-in to Housing Works on 2nd Avenue, definitely gives a good feeling that our donating items would be taking care for customer to shop. Awesome windows displays as well. Highly recommended this location.

Sometimes you can find nice things in this shop but a greedy crackhead mustve priced the jewelry for the fall event. $90+ for some mediocre sterling items meanwhile staff like flavio covered in heavy gold. what is wrong with this picture?

do not expect real thrift store prices at this location. for example, a men's polo ralph lauren button down goes for about $35. that being said, their items are well-curated and include good brands like theory, DVF, emporio armani, etc. they are also consistently in good condition and support a great cause. shoe selection at this store is also exceptionally good in comparison to other locations - manolo blahnik, ferragamo and jimmy choo are regularly spotted here

The staff is always smiling and greeting customers and very professional. Daniela and Derrick and are great asset to this store and make my shopping experience a wonderful one . A new employee Shay is amazing a great asset to the store.

When I walked in, everything was so beautiful I didn't think I'd be able to afford anything. But ha, seek and ye shall find. And everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Thank you all. Ya all put a nice spin on my visit to Sloan Kettering. Thanks again.?

Strewn throughout the city, Housing Works is one of the quintessential thrift shops in NY. This location plays like a retail boutique, everything is neatly displayed albeit in a cramped space. Their staff is super friendly and, at the time I was there, super busy. As a luxury buyer this place is perfect. As with every thrift store, you have to dig to find your treasures, but with a little effort, this Housing Works location will make being a green consumer well worth your while. I've read the other reviews which state this place is overpriced, I agree if you are looking at everyday items (they have Gap and Old Navy jeans priced at $20 and $25 respectively), but with designer items (again, you have to dig for them) you can't go wrong here. So far, I have found Hermes and Fendi at this location, and my find of the day was a navy Burberry wool overcoat in pristine condition selling for over 90% off retail. Go to Housing Works, you'll be shopping green, helping the homeless and finding treasure, all at the same time.
