I love thrifting and have visited several in the DFW area. This location disappointed me.
Pros-
The place is big and clean. Staff is nice.
Everything is arranged neatly with sizes in order. I found several name brand items.
I found a Steve Madden purse.
Loved!
Prices are reasonable.

Here is why I didn’t rate them high.

1. Shopping music is loud and unpleasant
2. There are NO fitting rooms. I don’t purchase any clothing without trying it out.
3. Everything is NON refundable and NON exchangeable. If there are no fitting rooms then we should be allowed to try the clothing at home and be able to return it for an exchange or refund
4. Self checkouts!!

I found this gem through word of mouth—I love a good thrift!

This was my first time at this location, and it didn’t fully disappoint. The store is huge and offers a wide range of items if you’re willing to dig a bit.

Pricing is slightly high, and the color tag discounts don’t add much value, as it’s almost impossible to find items with tags that are actually on sale.

One drawback is no fitting rooms. For true thrifters, you do what you have to, but it’s not ideal when the store is crowded.

I’m also not a fan of the self-checkout setup. The point of self-checkout is convenience, but here, employees “assist” by standing at self checkout, taking items from you to scan, only for you to bag them yourself—feels unnecessary.

Overall, it was a pleasant shopping experience, despite a few things like the assisted self-checkout. Thanks, Texas Thrift!

A bit small and crowded, and no fitting rooms; there's no exchange period so if you spend money on clothes that don't fit you're SOL. The clothes and shoes aren't organized by size; but at least the racks and shelves are stocked unlike other locations of the franchise. It was worth the drive.

I would just like to say how truly disappointed I am in the new owners. They really ruined such a good thrift store. Making children’s clothes priced at the same price or more than what you can get them at Walmart. Some of us need those cheaper prices to help out. Taking away military discounts is by far the lowest of scum a business owner could do. As a military family, you have no idea how much that helps out! And the new “discount colors” a joke at best. You can’t even find them after looking through an entire rack. Usually they are taken off by employees before you can find them. Also your self checkouts are a joke. I hope that you end up losing business because you have made this place so much worse than it was. You are greedy and it shows.

I stopped coming here a while back because it was a mess far beyond reason (not normal-thrift-store-messy...more like on-the bathroom-walls, clothing-clogging-the-toilet-messy, true story). Decided to give it a other go recently and the new owners have done a good job cleaning it up and the employees are much nicer...but the "self" (assisted) checkout is counterproductive. If you don't trust your customers, don't have self checkout. Having your employees ring up things just to walk away causes confusion, unnecessary congestion at checkout and sends a message of, "now that I know you're not stealing anything you can bag it yourself" which does not instill trust, loyalty or a smidge of customer service. You're putting everyone in an awkward position including your employees. Also, I'm not a senior or vet so I didn't notice but read the reviews and saw both discounts were taken which is also pretty asinine....y'all lost another star for that. Texas Thrift has some very loyal customers and some of your changes are on the right track...but advice to the owners is to not cut your nose off to spite your face.

I typically enjoy this store the prices are reasonable and I find some cool vintage things every once in a while. Some of the workers smile at you or say hi occasionally.

I hate that they do not sale items that are not priced. If it isn't priced why is on the floor? This is upsetting because someone who went through the effort to find this thing they wanted to be told they cant sell it to you even when the same price was for other things similar is mind boggling. All the comics I got where 1 dollar every last one of them. I looked through all the comics there too all $1. If Texas thrift is that bent over a 1 dollar purchase they have issues. It may be silly to get upset over but I spent time searching through tons of comics and books to find the thing I wanted and get denied. It left a VERY bitter taste in my mouth.

PLEASE MAKE SURE ITEMS ARE PRICED BEFORE THEY ARE PUT OUT ON THE FLOOR!!!

Pretty good prices and selection. However the “self-checkout” is A MESS. They have you walk up to a checkout station where the worker just stands there to scan your items, wont bag items or take the hangers from you. Then the workers are opening/closing ones depending on cash/card. Long lines due to the checkout chaos.
