I have been a customer for at least the past 15 years at the 'Vinnos' Fairview, so I used to affectionately call it. Over the years prices have sky rocketed. From say around €5 an item, to yesterday a polyester jumper costing €20.

In a time when it's cheaper to buy and get items delivered from across the world, I wish it was easier for myself and others to shop at my local Vincent's. I can't imagine a homeless person or someone struggling going in and being able to afford a few bits from the local charity shop. In an age of a cost of living crisis who are these shops really for?

Total income of the St. Vincent DePaul society in 2022 was €97.8 million. From the charity shops €37.1 million (from your website). Making ~€37m off clothes that were giving donated in good faith is a great business model ?

I was in the other day, saw a used pair of apple earphone they were selling for €30 when you can buy them new from apple for €19. Who is making up the prices in there? I’ve been going for years but it’s gone way to expensive!

A women staff real nice. But as I bought 2 items 1 staff member had no smile on his face and he left my stuff on counter I said get your own bag out of the basket. In the all the shops I been in I was never told to pack my own bags. My of my it is expensive shop.

I have been going in to that charity shop since it opened, manager not nice. Bought 2 tops (with Covid can’t try on ) asked if I could exchange them if they didn’t fit, she said yes, they didn’t fit took them back was told you can’t keep exchanging items all the time, as my manager may not allow me to exchange them, and she the manager that was saying this, the weather was hot at the time so hadn’t the energy to disagree so instead to post it here. They’re also more expensive than other charity shops.

It is a small charity shop but I always find good deals, especially shoes and dresses. They have more clothes for women, small amount for men and kids. Sometimes plates and other kitchen equipments or home deco stuff can be found. And one final notes lots of books! Open on Sundays.
