I'd say more like 3.5 stars. The security team at the building is very nice and accommodating. Once we got to the front desk of the Fashionphile office, the person at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Allowed us to have a walk-in appointment with no issue. The showroom is beautiful. Lots of natural lighting from the big windows that overlook the water. Staff barely acknowledged us when we got there (it's a long hallway walk from the front desk to the showroom / shopping area). It was the middle of a heatwave and we were not offered water or anything. We saw it being given to other shoppers. Not sure if that's the usual atmosphere there. Just less in-your-face and a more request assistance as needed, type of service. Some people might prefer that. Wasn't all the way horrible just felt a little cold to us.

Ordered online and was able to pick up in store day of. Security was kind showing me how to get up the elevator and check in with the front desk. Offered water!! They showed me the bag to make sure I was happy with it before I signed for it. I would love to come back and spend more time looking at other bags but I went on my lunch break so I was only in and out.

I can't understand how this place can have any bad reviews. Literal handbag heaven! Everyone was sooooo nice, from check in, to the associates offering water, helping filter bags on the iPads (which is genius btw) to the conveyor belt with the handbags rotating with selected handbags I can go on and on. It's so esthetically pleasing, the decor was incredible and I honestly didn't want to leave ?. So much so, my friend and I went back for more the next day! It was like going to 20 designer boutiques all in one visit. A must see experience if you're in NYC.

The website for here was recommended by a client of mine and when I saw there was an NYC store I had to come in on my visit! I did make two trips here because I was starting to run short on time my first visit and I was there for about 2 hours on my second visit. I had such a sweet sales associate my first time and even when I clumsily knocked over my water she was so sweet to me and didn’t make me feel badly at all! I had two different people that helped me the next day that were both equally amazing! It does take a bit to get settled and order the bags you want to see and swap them out (you can only see 3-4 at a time and the sales associates have to order the new ones form the back) so give yourself time and I would prep a list of the ones you want and their items numbers ahead of time!

I got a beautiful YSL bag that was in wonderful condition for a fraction of the cost. I would definitely come here again or possibly order online also!

LOVE Fashionphile and the in-person experience even more. I purchased a few things during a sale, some of which didn't work out, and it was super easy to come in and return in person. I even found a few great bags that I was able to see in person that day, and ended up getting one of them 🙂 have been in a few times since then and the staff is always super helpful and nice. Treat yourself and go in if you're in the neighborhood and in the market for something nice for yourself!

Zachary is the best. I met him a couple of months ago when I went to the showroom to buy an Hermes bag and to sell a few items. I returned the original bag, put a deposit on another and changed my mind again. I went to the showroom two days ago to pick up the bag I finally ordered. He thoughtfully pulled a few other bags he thought I might want. I bought one of the bags he suggested. He has much patience and is always eager to make sure his client is happy. I cannot say enough good things about him.

I was less concerned with the low ball price the staff came with. All though my bag was in mint condition and used only twice. What they thought was a flaw was actually in fact a crease from the lack of use. My bag hasn’t been worn in enough to make it flexible. Aka basically brand new. My quote was for something “shows wear”. I was told. Sorry. No wear on this item at all. But all that said. It’s this places prerogative to quote what they like. And not their job for me to like it either. And I’m ok with that. But let’s really talk about the problem. The staff is cold. I might have been inclined to look at some stuff aka shop. As I walked to them from the west village. Pretty far. But I just didn’t feel welcomed here and overall like they didn’t want me to shop. Not good customer service. No problem. I don’t need to. Just thought it could be fun.

You’d think when people come in to buy luxury goods, there would be some basic level of service. That is absolutely not the case here. I went in for the first time and there was no one to help me in the show room. Not to say there weren’t sales associates, because there were quite a few of those, but the associates were simply sitting on their laptops talking to each other. I had to go ask how I could look at a specific bag, and was handed an iPad and told someone would come help me. Well, that didn’t ever happen and I had to again go ask someone for help. Once you choose a bag it can take upwards of 20+ minutes to have it brought over because again the associates are sitting and talking. On 2 separate trips, it was like pulling teeth to get someone to help me and actually be timely about it. Save your time and buy online if you can!
