After numerous phone calls I was told the earlier I showed up the better so that they could sort through items right away, especially since I was coming from out of town. Arrived at 10am on a Friday and at 5pm nothing had been gone through even though they told me it would only take 2-3 hours. I was told they then that they actually take all the small boxes first and anything more than one box is a drop off and that it should be ready sometime Sunday. Will never go back to such an unprofessional store.

I had researched this plato’s before going & had not seen the best reviews, however i was willing to give it a shot. Had no issues while shopping until an employee rudely told us to make our way to the door with 15 minutes still tell close. Then once we proceeded to checkout we were not greeted yet met with very passive comments and not kind customer service. I am not one to leave reviews but was highly disappointed with the customer service and passiveness.

I have been here a few times in the past and it wasn’t so hard to just check me in.
Today however, when I walked in they told me to wait in line, so I did. I waited and sat for about 5-10 minutes, but I see a family come in with two bags and they got them right away! I was already annoyed so I walked up to the counter, and the man behind the counter says “okay I’m done for the day” & walks off... I just found it so rude, I was ready to walk out but I need to get rid of these clothes ?.. they did help me out eventually, I felt I was a bother to even be helped though.

I used to love this store, but over the years the staff have become so rude and aggressive. I'll just donate my items. It's not worth being treated so poorly to continue to keep my items in circulation at Plato's.

I gave them 1 star but if I could have I would have given them 0! This place is a rip off. First, when I get there, the lady tell me the stuff will be ready at 5:15 mind you that’s two hours. I never get a text message and I go up there and she tells me oh you had way too much stuff it’ll be tomorrow. So when I go the next day they tell me they will give me $30! I’m like really no just give me my stuff back. I had a pair of jeans in there from Cavender’s worth $70 and they tried to give me $30 for all this stuff. This is such a rip off. Will never go back!?

What a joke!!! First off the employees are rude!!!!! Was told not to bring stuff in trash bags had to be a bin so I folded everything put it in a bin took it in. I was told to take everything out of a bin to put it in their bin., To go pick everything up that they didn’t buy and lo and behold. They’re in small trash bags sold seven items for $14 mind you most of the stuff I bought from there and was told they don’t buy those things, a rip off I won’t be back.! not to mention all the time I wasted for $14

I do not live in Lubbock, but had to come for job training but I also make jewelry, mostly western style looking jewelry..i usually go try to sell at the store in Amarillo and they don’t take much at a time. So while I was here I dropped off a huge tote with tons of jewelry in it! I mean soooo many pieces! And it was pure luck they have some western deal going on this weekend so they were needing exactly what I was selling ?And yes it took a few days but I feel like the buy was completely fair! I feel good with the transaction! And will definitely be back if I’m in Lubbock!

I drive all the way over to the store to sell and I get there and the girl tells me that I have to fold all of the clothes in my bag before she can sort through them? I had a huge bag so I wasn’t going to sit there and do that! I’ve been to this place before and that wasn’t asked of me and I sell to Uptown Cheapskate and that’s never been asked of me either. I couldn’t find anything on the website that said my clothes had to be folded before I brought them, just wish I had known before I made the drive! Either tell your employees to be consistent and put it on the website or don’t have silly rules like that

UPDATE: I'm glad that these rules are finally made clear in the google reviews instead of on the website. I hope all customers read these before going into the store and wasting their time.

Go up
